A few weeks ago I bought my first sewing-machine…….ever. It started after a shoppingtrip during which I wanted to buy something simple to wear, but couldn’t find anything I liked. On my way home I thought that it might be easier if I just made it myself……………

Offcourse I know, that isn’t an easy thing to do if you don’t have any experience with sewing at all. So I thought I might start with simpler things, bags or things like that, just to start learning how to use the sewing-machine.

After a while I learned, that I also don’t know anything about the materials I might need.

So that is why I use the word “discovering” in the title of this blog. And I haven’t chosen the title “discovering sewing” because as I started reading sewing-blogs, I started reading a lot about other things you can make by yourself. I started to get ideas to make other things than clothes. So now it’s named “discovering diy”. Let’s see what there is to discover!
